Yes, every cat needs a bath every now and then. A thorough wash might be the only way to get rid of the gunk, even if your cat undoubtedly thinks of themselves as more than capable groomers. Debris like mud, sap, and excess filth can be quite tough for a cat to remove from their own coat.
Yes, I work with a couple spicy-natured cats. I know a few tactics that let me finish grooming safely while also calming cat down. Veterinarians can prescribe tranquil medications to cats who exhibit extreme aggression and refuse to allow other people to handle them. With these medications, the cat won't sleep; instead,it will be less alert and reactive, making it easier to handle.
Long-fur cats need 4-6 weeks between visits, whereas short-fur cat visits can be extended to 8-12 weeks.
Cats should go to professional groomers to have a bath, to have their claws clipped, or if they have severe matting that cannot be brushed out
Cats like to feel clean, so they feel good when they’ve been groomed. They will also feel more comfortable when any mats have been removed.
Large nails are a hazard for people, children, and furniture. In extreme cases, overgrown nails often curl themselves into the paw, creating a foot pad. Which is extremely painful for cat.
• Irritation on the skin
• Extensive pain
• Inflammation
• Anxiety
• Infection
• Excessive hair balls that could lead to intestine blockages
